I guess what I'm asking is what the game's default behavior should be, so that I'd know whether or not I'm trying to troubleshoot a problem that doesn't exist. ![]() So if I quit the game and then play it later, it's back to the menu music, ad infinitum - unless I go in and change it again. Would I be correct in thinking that, or is the game actually supposed to do this, expecting you to manually change the song every time you begin playing?Įdit: For posterity, and because this seems to be a generic forum for the franchise, my issue is relevant to Settlers II.Īs I mentioned previously, going to the menus and picking a song or selecting 'Random Mode' does indeed work, but only for that session. ![]() This leads me to believe that I might be experiencing some kind of localized issue where the game doesn't properly switch tracks, because to me, it doesn't make sense that the game only ever plays one song, despite having a soundtrack that contains at least eight other songs. I notice that the game comes with a downloadable soundtrack, and that the in-game 'Game menu' has a jukebox-like section that allows you to play different tracks (and they work when I select them, but when I quit and start the game again, it's back to the menu music again). However - at least for me - it seems to be the _only_ one the game ever plays. When I load-up the game and reach the main menu, a song (which I'd assume is the main-menu theme) begins playing, as expected.
